Whilst trying to complete a South Island challenge I have found that I needed something starting with the letter 'A' for April . . . . . . so I decided I would host an event. Whilst I realise a lot of folks take advantage of an extra long weekend off work to head out of town, I know a few still stay home. The event is from 12 noon to 3pm so have lunch before you come or bring lunch with you and eat before we learn about the EGGS.
Please bring comfortable footwear suitable for the weather on the day as there is a tiny bit of walking involved to learn about the EGGS, kinda like a little treasure hunt of sorts. (and a lil rabbit tells me there may be prizes also). Other items you might like to bring are a sunhat and sunscreen and a raincoat or parker if the weather packs in a bit (this is Auckland after all!) IF YOU ARE UP FOR A CHALLENGE - bring an Easter bonnet decorated by yourself or your Geocaching clan . . . . . . . yes there are some small prizes to be had.
- The venue is Schlaepfer Park Scout Camp, 41C Ostrich Farm Road, Helvetia, Pukekohe
-
PLEASE NOTE . . . . . there is No Access to Schlaepfer Park from Heights Road. The road shown is a "Paper Road" and is being used by our neighbour and is not formed into the Park. Please enter our physical address into their navigation device - 41C Ostrich Farm Road, Pukekohe - our driveway (600 meters long) is the 1st on the left from Heights Road
- There is quite a bit of parking available
- A gold coin donation towards the Schlaepfer Park Scgroups would be appreciated
- There is an indoor activity area and a lovely new(ish) kitchen and toilets available
- A large outdoor area with plenty of bush and also a walk on the grounds, down to a waterfall
- I will bring a small First Aid Kit to have on hand whilst we are at the Park
After learning about the EGGS . . . . . we can share stories over hot and/or cold beverages. I will bring some afternoon tea along and if you feel inclined you may also like to bring something to share.
- if anyone is wanting to trade or grab containers - feel free to bring them along to share.
- You may have trackables to drop or bring for others to discover
- Pathtags and gecoins could also be bought to trade
- AND . . . . . of course the log book must be signed
Hoping to meet some new Geocachers and of course, keen for a catch up with Geocachers I already know.
