SideTracked goes international with an event at International Square above the platforms of Stratford International HS1 railway station. Meet for the Geocaching event at 6pm for an hour on Wednesday 29th March 2023.
Stratford International railway station opened on the 30th November 2009 served by the Southeastern Railway Highspeed trains on the St Pancras to Ashford section of High Speed 1 (HS1). Since built no public international trains has ever stopped at this station, they run through the station at speed between the Channel Tunnel and St Pancras. The station is the lowest elevated open box station in the country showing as 5 metres below see level - it should show on our stats.
Before caching (BC) goldpot, the host, recorded the construction of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (as it was known then) visiting all the sites along the entire route through London, Essex and Kent. Join me and other keen cachers in the public square just outside the station building. Feel free to exchange Trackables that may want to go international...
