Take a Hike          Hiking Boots


This is one cache in a series of caches along and off the “New Road/Campbell Road” — home of several previous cache series — near Burlington. The “road” continues to suffer from erosion in spots and is now best driven with an off-road vehicle or one having good clearance and/or 4WD — otherwise, it’s a nice hike or snowshoe/cross-country ski during the winter.

At the time of placement, partridge, fox & coyote were seen. The “road” & surrounding trails have been cleared from the effects of hurricanes Dorian (2019) & Fiona (2022), and some clear-cutting & clearing has occurred. The total time to complete the series on foot, roundtrip “door-to-door”, was 3 hours. If you are tackling this series on foot, you can expect some moderate elevation gain going in & doing the side trails. It will be muddy in the spring & after rain & can be buggy during the summer.
