The idea for this cache came from "Redfish", age six, who told me that he is very good at climbing trees and that we needed to put one in a tree. He is very good at climbing, which he demonstrates often on things like "other people" or "the fence designed to keep you inside the playground".
This is about the most kid-appropriate tree climber I could come up with. Container is ~20ft off the ground with lots of good limbs at even intervals.
For any kid (or adult, always good to go over the rules again) about to attempt the climb, please remember:
Don't climb alone! You should always have someone waiting on the ground for you, so that if you get hurt there's help nearby.
Keep three points of contact; that means you should always have at least 3 of your hands or feet touching the tree, and you only let go with one hand or foot at a time to climb up.
This cache is part of the Kids' Cache series. Find the first one here, with Mr. Harlow.
