A hide in the McMaster Hills Power Ramble series
Info about the series can be found at GCAJ3A4.
Welcome to the McMaster Hills which was formerly part of the McMaster Ranch. Now public land, administered by the Bureau of Land Management, there are opportunities to explore this little-visited area on foot, bicycle, or horseback.
This 3-stage multi-cache is located at the east parking area of "the hills." Find the first hide at the posted coordinates. Instructions within will direct you to the second hide which will direct you to the final location. Each stage is approximately 0.10 miles from the previous one. Cache is a medium lock-n-lock container. Logbook, pencil, and assorted smallish trinkets are within.
Be aware that this is an undeveloped area and there are inherent dangers to watch out for, including: Prickly pear cactus .... ticks .... uneven ground .... sudden changes in weather. The road to the parking area is rutted in summer (but most vehicles should manage the terrain, with care,) and minimally maintained in winter (Snow tires are suggested.) Have fun, and be safe.
