When I lived in Stillwater the welcome was not nearly this elaborate, but it was warm, and it still is. On my last trip through I notice that one of the welcome signs had a bit more than a cheery greeting, and I was inspired.
There are several pieces of marble here, one of them speaks of some of Stillwater’s early history, and one is a commemoration of “sisters”. I have always enjoyed Stillwater and learning a little of her history, long past and not so long past.
To log the cache you must email the branch of service mentioned on the historical marker, and to unlock the certificate use the officer’s name on the marker, in lower case. Stillwater is a friendly place; enjoy your visit. You may log the cache when you email the confirmation, but I will delete any log for which I have not received confirmation.
