Geocache Description:


Pleasant Hill Cemetery is located in Brushcreek Township, Highland County. A small portion of the cemetery extends into Pike County as well.

The cemetery sits up on a hill that overlooks the village of Sinking Springs. The cache is near the top of the cemetery at the edge of the woods.

The container is a small size camoed plastic container.

Entrance to the cemetery can be reached from State Route 41 turning east onto Grand St. ( This is the only entrance/exit)

This cemetery has a wide variety of both old and new headstones. Another Civil War veteran buried here is 1Lt. Thomas Jefferson McKeehan.

He was commissioned 2nd Lt. Co. B, 175th O.V.I., on September, 10, 1864. Captured at Blockhouse No. 15, near Pulaski, Tenn., November 24, 1864. Imprisoned at Camp Sumter, Andersonville, Ga. Paroled and arrived at Jefferson Barracks, St. Louis, Mo., April 24, 1865 aboard hospital steamboat "R.C. Wood", suffering from chronic diarrhea. Resigned his commission on May 15, 1865.
