Geocache Description:

Out hiking along the Des Plaines River Trail and wishing to place a few caches in the area to make it a nice caching trail, this may be the last in a series of Lucy and Co. caches that start at the Des Plaines River Trail bridge crossing near the NW entrance to Indpendence Grove, and continue along the Des Plaines River trail to Old School Forest Preserve. We hope you enjoy this series, which is designed to be done on bicycle or horseback.

If you plan to do the whole series in one day, you might partner with someone to drop a car at one end, either at Independence Grove's Canoe Launch or at the Holiday Inn Express on Buckley Road, and then have a car at Old School Forest Preserve so you can hike or bike the whole series and then not have to return to the car.

You're looking for a 3" clear plastic vial with a log strip inside. This cache felt like it was out in the middle of nowhere, hence the name. Enjoy, but watch for ticks April through early November.

Congrats to bucklikeshiking on the FTF!
