Geocache Description:

We've always seen diners in movies and when we finally moved to Canada ourselves, one thing to do was to get to know the North American flair of a diner and to get asked: "Do you want more coffee?", and to respond with a big smile: "Yes, please."

Since then we love trying different diners, so we thought we will put some caches out at diner's we like. When you log the cache, please let us your favorite diner know, so we can try some more smiley

To find this one you need to fill in the years in the history of the diner:

1. It is being said that the first version of a diner (a horse-pulled wagon) was created by Walter Scott in XEXB.

2. In XICX Charles Palmer received the first patent for the diner, which was called a "Night-Lunch Wagon."

3. In XXAX the first lunch wagon was built in the diner capital of the world.

4. XXFD Roland Stickney designed a diner in the shape of a streamlined train.

5. The car culture and the construction of the Interstate Highway System in the 19GX's and JX's resulted in a boom of diners.

6. In the 19HX's many diners were run out of business by the rise of fast food restaurants.
