Geocache Description:

A former manorial scrap mill was built in Moorish style in 1842 at the western end of the town. A small tower was put on each corner, which can still be seen today on the corner of Sportplatzweg (also at the house entrance door and at the end of the property towards the sports field at the neighboring gate). The entrance to the mill was from the Sportplatzweg directly from the fields, the right row of windows was placed in this opening.

The whole house still stands today on a large part of the original masonry and foundations, but it was converted into a family house in 1955, which already uses only 2/3 of the original area, and in 1984 a part of the house with a terrace was added. The perimeter walls visible from the main road and Sportplatzweg are original, the windows were inserted in the original openings.

The route of the main road has been modified slightly, but it still leaves a clearly visible connection between the important points of the community at that time - the mill, the castle, the church, the school, the railway with the railway crossing at the location of today's Obere Gasse.
