Om het centrum van Ameland te bepalen heb ik op de geocachingkaart Ameland met waypoints acht bezienswaardigheden op het strand of op de Waddenzee gemarkeerd. Nadat je het gemiddeld zwaartepunkt van deze acht locaties hebt bepaald (Stapeltellen) of (GC-Wizard), trek je noord 250 af en oost 059 af waar je de cache dan bijna in het midden van het eiland vindt.
Um den Mittelpunkt von Ameland zu bestimmen habe ich mal acht sehenswerte Orte am Strand oder an der Waddensee auf der Ameländer Geocaching Karte mit Wegpunkten gekennzeichnet. Nachdem ihr von diesen acht Orten den gemittelten Insel Schwerpunkt bestimmt habt (GPS-Cache) subtrahiert bei Nord 248 und bei Ost 060 wo ihr dann fast in der Inselmitte den Cache finden werdet.
In order to determine the center of Ameland, I have marked eight places worth seeing on the beach or on the Wadden Sea on the Ameland geocaching map with waypoints. After you have determined the center of gravityof these eight locations (GC-Wizard), subtract north 250 and east 059 where you will find the cache almost in the middle of the island.
