Art Work in the Wilderness Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

DE_Cryptoman: ARCHIVED. Cache container has been stolen. Someone had to use bolt cutters to cut the aircraft cable attaching it to the tree so it wasn’t a mistake. I won’t replace it.

Geocache Description:

ART WORK IN THE WILDERNESS

In this day and age, ammo boxes are few and far between.  This particular box was painted by Pathfinder33 and was won at a raffle at a Texas Challenge some years ago.  I never had the heart to turn it loose in the wild.  However, when I was speaking with my son and his wife (both understanding muggles) about my desire to start putting out some caches, it was suggested that I consider this particular cemetery as a potential location.  They are official caretakers for this location.  I was told about a path that meandered out behind the cemetery and would be nowhere near any headstones.  I checked it out and decided that this might be a safe location for the beautiful can I have now placed there.

Initially, it is chockful of goodies, including a prize for FTF.  There are also four seed caches inside.  One is a round, painted can with a log.  There are also three simple plastic film canisters with logs and other goodies in each one.

I know it might be a bit to ask, but if you take a seed cache and put it out somewhere, please send me the Cache Name and Code.

Parking is nearby.  Pull into the cemetery and then go to the far left corner and swing around the two small trees there.  The trail will be very obvious.  DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS CACHE AT NIGHT.  The cemetery is normally open 24/7, but under some circumstances, the gate may be locked.  If you cannot drive in, then pass by this cache for another day.

CONGRATULATIONS TO BIKERMIKE FOR FTF
