This location is a small parkette on the East side of Lindsay. There is parking and an entrance on 2 sides of the park, one on Parkside Drive, and the other on Ellis Crescent. It may be tricky in the winter, due to the trail being snowy, but very easy terrain for other seasons.
I was curious about the namesake of this lovely small park. Marlene James was an avid girl guide and volunteered helping neighbours, and had an interest in helping the blind. She was learning braille, and working on learning sign language. She was killed on her bike on nearby Highway 36, when she was 13. She became an organ donor, with her heart being transplanted into a younv priest, and her eyes helped 2 other people to see.
Look her up & enjoy this little park in her memory.
