Geocache Description:

The Yale Boulder is a prominent marker that rests at the northwest corner of the Cypress Cemetery. The plaque on the boulder states that the parcel of land is the former location of Yale College, which existed in Old Saybrook. The Collegiate School, which would later become Yale College, was founded in 1701. It began in the home of Abraham Pierson (First Rector) in Killingworth, CT, but shortly after moved to a building in Old Saybrook. Many say most of the graduations were held in Saybrook despite students going to Pierson home to learn. The boulder in Old Saybrook (Fenwick Section) plaque reads “The First Site of Yale College, Founded 1701, Removed 1716” marks the location of the school’s first property.

According to yale.edu "Yale is founded in 1701 in nearby Saybrook, CT as the Collegiate School to educate students for 'Publick employment' both in Church and Civil State.

As for the geocache itself, you will be looking for a low-hanging bison tube on the outskirts of the bushes surronding the boulder. We think the history of this location is awesome and 100% needed a cache.
