River Falls, WI is hosting Earth Fest 2023. This is a free community celebration of the past, present and future sustainability efforts in River Falls and the surrounding area. Saturday, April 22 from 12noon-4:00pm. This family-friendly event includes live music, fun family activities, food sampling, a sustainability fair, free giveaways, Geocaching 101 table and more. It will be held in Glen Park Pavillion in River Falls, WI and throughout the park's beautiful surrounding green spaces. Limited free parking is available at Glen Park. Free shuttle transportation to and from the event is available from several locations in River Falls (see website for details). www.hope4creationrf.org. In the event of poor weather, Earth Fest 2023 will be moved to River Falls High School.
As soon as we heard about this Earth Fest we knew Geocaching fit perfectly! We asked about having a Geocaching 101 table and how we could do a CITO event to give back to the community. There will be trash cans around Glen Park, but we will make sure that everything is neat and tidy again at this great park.
CITO event will begin at 3:30pm-4:30pm which is at the conclusion of Earth Fest 2023. Garbage bags will be provided but please bring your own grabbers and gloves.
Raffle tickets will be handed out, prizes will be awarded, fun will be had by all! If you have Sustainability items to be used as prizes, please let us know and bring them along.
