Established in 1986, Shaw College (逸夫書院) is the fourth constituent college to be established at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. The college is named after its patron, Sir Run Run Shaw 邵逸夫爵士, who donated five hundred million Hong Kong dollars toward its establishment in May 1985.
The college has two student residences: Kuo Mou Hall 國楙樓 (which is also known as 國宿) and Student Hostel II.
The college has a signature statue at its entrance, the CUHK students called it “女人腳 (Female Leg)”. Besides, the long steep slope outside the entrance is also commonly known as “長命斜".
