Not one, but two War Memorials will be seen at this location.
The main one is for Carn Brea - and yes this location is within the parish, albeit quite a way from Carn Brea village. The parish stretches north and south, either side of the hill of the same name and is surrounded by the parishes of Redruth, Camborne, Illogan and Wendron, with a tiny bit of Lanner also creeping in. Generally regular in shape, it does have an intriguing extension in the north east corner for some reason. This memorial commemorates three distinct conflicts.
The second, smaller memorial is for Tregajorran and was removed for safe keeping while the chapel there was being demolished in 1995, finally ending up here in 2008.
Now for the cache - a simple off-set multi with all the clues - and the cache - within sight of the main memorial. You are looking for a hanging camo'd bison at N50 13.(B+F)(D+F)F W005 15.E(D+C)(B-A)
