Områdebeskrivelse
Denne EarthCachen er lokalisert rett ved en kjent foss. Rundt denne fossen finner vi massevis av spennende mineraler og steiner. Blant annet ser vi folder og erosjon flere steder. Området rundt fossen er for det meste fjell, men ikke langt unna finner vi noen små byer.
Erosjon
Erosjon er en prosess der bergarter, mineral, jord eller andre slites løs og flyttes til et annet sted. De 3 forskjellige naturelementene som skaper erosjon er vind, vann og is. Alle 3 kan ha påvirket området ganske så mye. Vi ser at hvis vi forflytter oss fra forskjellige plasser rundt gz og wp, så blir berget annerledes. Dette skjer med måten vinden og vannet treffer. Det som er så kult rundt her er at erosjonen i fjellet former berget veldig annerledes. Noe som ikke alltid er så veldig normalt. Blant annet ser vi også at flere flak fra steinene har løsnet og vil forsvinne om ikke latfor lang tid.
Forksjellen mellom erosjon og forvitring
Erosjon former landskapet sammen med forvitring. Hovedforskjellen mellom erosjon og forvitring er hvor prosessen finner sted. Forvitring smuldrer opp bergartene på stedet, mens erosjon frakter det løse materiale bort fra stedet.

Area description
This EarthCache is located right next to a well-known waterfall. Around that waterfall we find lots of exciting minerals and stones. Among other things, we see folds and erosion in several places. The area around the waterfall is mostly mountains, but not far away we find some small towns.
Erosion
Erosion is a process where rocks, minerals, soil or others are worn away and moved to another location. The 3 different natural elements that cause erosion are wind, water and ice. All 3 may have affected the area. We see that if we move from different places around gz and wp, the rock becomes different. This happens with the way the wind and water collide. What that is so cool around gz and wp is how the erosion has formed the rocks so different, which is quite special. We can also see that some of the flakes in the rocks are falling off, and will dissapear. Something that also is quite cool!
The difference between erosion and weathering
Erosion shapes the landscape along with weathering. The main difference between erosion and weathering is where the process takes place. Weathering crumbles the rocks at the site, while erosion transports the loose material away from the site.

2. Gå til wp, studer berget. Er berget her mer påvirket av erosjon enn nede, eller er det ingen erosion i fjellet? Hva kan være grunnen til at det er eller ikke er, om ja er fjellet mer påvirket, om nei hva påvirker fjeller?
