The old Shafer house used to loom over the bluffs above Big Walnut Creek. The surrounding roofed forest and extreme hills (for Columbus, anyway) terrain is all that is left on this property apart from a few artifacts. The Shafer house may or may not have been a mansion, but we like to think that it was. The mansion's boiler escaped demolition and rolled down into the creek bed where it slowly rusts into oblivion. This cache lives near the creek and is intended to be difficult to get to because, well, this is a beautiful piece of land to explore. Watch for Illigers who have been displaced by the Woodland Mansion's demise. Try not to take too much fall damage navigating this property.
