As my K9K8 nickname indicates: I love dogs! I grew up with 14 different dogs and have had 4 dogs of my own. My first vocation was as an engineer; once a geek, always a geek. As a second career I switched to dog grooming. Both science and animals have enriched my life. All my cache hides will have something to do with dogs.
What! A beautiful cemetery without a traditional geocache! Cemeteries always make me think of the memory, love and good times spent with those we’ve cared about. I also enjoy a slow stroll through the resting spot to read the headstones and appreciate the life that those interred might have experienced.
In keeping with my dog theme, I have no doubt that dogs miss their owners when they pass. I also have personal experience that dogs mourn the passing of a fellow four-legged housemate. Dogs are well known for their unconditional love. Please tell all those you love or rely on – alive or passed / two or four legged - that you have benefitted from their presence while you can. Time is short, we all have a limited time on this planet to experience and enjoy.
I believe the answer to the cache name is because they think it’s fun. Always keep your guard up when geocaching or socializing with animals of any kind.
