The Warren Tower is located at No.1, Xinlong Shaxi, Shangshi Road, Fangcun, Liwan District. It was built in the third year of the Republic of China (1914) with a huge donation from Mr. Warren, an American. The whole building is four stories high and covers an area of about 731 square meters. The building has a brick-concrete structure, with corridors on each floor and classrooms behind the corridors. The original wall was a blue brick wall, and in 2002, the outer wall was changed into cement mortar. At the beginning of the last century, this building has been the teaching building of Peiying College (now Guangzhou Peiying Middle School). In 1935, Peiying College moved to Baihedong Campus. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, some Warren buildings were used by Guangzhou Construction Machinery Factory, and later changed into staff quarters. In 2002, they were entrusted to the housing management department of Liwan District, and in December 2011, they were announced as registered and protected cultural relics units in Liwan District.
