It was on this day back in 1987, Sunflowers by Vincent van Goch was sold at auction for nearly £25 million.
That was 134 years to the exact day, baby Vincent was born (1853). There are 10 other paintings in his "Sunflower series", so always worthwhile to check your attic in case you find another one. (Not to be confused of course with "The Cracked Vase with the Big Daisies").
