A few km before reaching Kokerboomkloof Campsite here is a viewpoint that litterally takes your breath away (and happens to also always be quite windy which is a blessing when the goggas abound). And it faces exactly 180 degrees South.
The cache:
Walk a good 50m to the left to find your prize in a vertical gap on the south-west facing side of rock bigger than its surroundings, covered up in an obvious way with smaller rocks. There is a spoiler if you absolutely need it but download it while still in mobile reception (Main Camp has) as the entire Richtersveld away from reception has no mobile network.
Excuse if coords are within 4-6 meters - I did quite a few readings but it is difficult in this rocky terrain. The cache is a small brown plastic container that has space for small trackables and a bit of SWAG.
Please cover again very well to keep baboons uninterested!

What else to see:
If you walk to the opposite side of the viewpoint, rounding the little hill via the visible footpath, you reach a stone cairn. From there you will also enjoy a view North-West towards Echo Canyon Viewpoint, the turn off you will have passed just before getting here and the location of a cool Earthcache.
I hope you have come to spend a night or two at Kokerboomkloof Campsite- our favourite place in the park. Contrary to SanParks statements there IS running water, a handbasin and toilet in a little stone house per campsite, just no water in the shower (yet a shower cabin). A wonderful place to stay, hike, explore and watch the night sky!
