007. Bond, James Bond. The Bond series of films is the 5th highest grossing film series to date, from the first, in 1962, Dr. No, up to the most recent, No Time To Die. They are based on the books by Ian Fleming, and then subsequent authors, including Kingsley Amis and John Gardner. the films have had 6 actors play the lead role, Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig.
