Blue Switch Day is held on May 2nd of each year and recognizes the day when the US Government "flipped the switch" and made high accuracy GPS available to everyone. It's no coincidence that Blue Switch Day is also when it all began for geocaching since the first geocache was hidden one day later, on May 3rd, 2000.
When did geocaching begin for you? You can easily determine the date that you signed up to become a geocaching member by checking your geocaching dashboard and/or profile at geocaching.com. Here's when I joined:

THE CACHE IS LOCATED AT THE POSTED COORDINATES BUT TO LOG THIS CACHE YOU MUST:
(1) Have found a cache that was hidden and/or published on the same DAY and MONTH that you joined geocaching. To determine if you qualify for this challenge cache, please use the checker below.
NOTE: If you find the cache but have not yet qualified then please DO NOT log a find but feel free to write a note. Once you do qualify then go ahead and log your find.

(2) Simply finding the cache at GZ is not enough to make the find. To claim the smiley, you MUST bring a TOTT (9 volt battery) and use it to open the cache to access the log container inside.
NOTE: To demonstrate that you've correctly "flipped the switch" please provide a picture to the CO via the "message" option on the cache page or include a picture with your log BUT SPOILER PICS OF THE CACHE WILL BE DELETED!
