This route also takes you through one of the region's typically small villages and past the beautiful, old house that once belonged to the famous Anita Delgado. One morning, they went to watch the procession of rich people heading to the Royal Palace. They were guests at the wedding of King Alfonso XIII of Spain, who was to marry an English princess called Victoria Eugene (Eusjèn) on 31 May.
Anita was 16 years old at the time.
They were impressed by all the beauty when, at the corner of Montera Street with Plaza del Sol, a silver-plated carriage with a strange figure inside stopped in front of them. The man wore a white-and-blue turban over which shone a brooch in the shape of a peacock and luxurious and bizarre clothes! He was laden with jewels, a burly man, wore a strange beard and his eyes were fixed intrusively on Anita.
