War Memorial Park is one of our favourite places to go as a family. It is Coventry's largest city park opened in July 1921 as Coventry's tribute to the soldiers from the city who lost their lives during the First World War (1914-1918).
Roughly 48.5 hectares in size, the park is made up of two areas, the formal garden with the War Memorial and the sports areas, with playing fields, footgolf course, and play areas. There is also a 1.6 mile circular footpath around the park.
We have been gradually increasing the cache’s in the park over a number of months and now have 15 placed here with a further 2 just across the road in a small wooded area.
Parking at the park is free for 3 hours. An experienced geocacher with fast legs may be able to complete the series within this time but a second visit is more likely.
It is a very popular and busy park, and whilst some of the cache’s are placed in quieter spots, stealth will be required with most.
The containers are a mix of micro and small. A couple contain some loot and stickers for swapping but most contain just a log book. Tweezers are recommended.

The cache is a film container but it is disguised and camouflaged to blend in with its surroundings. Contains a log book but you will need your own pen/pencil.
