Two JJ Tribute Cache (2003 - 2023)
This Geocache is dedicated to our Uncle John and Aunt Jo Anderson, known to the Geocaching community as Two JJ and dedicated members of the Washington Geocaching Association.
In the years before their passing they had geocached in all 50 states, missing only a few counties in Alaska and Hawaii. They loved geocaching across America so much they were close to completing the Delorme Challenge. Their final total was 3,116 out of 3,142 counties, with a grand total of 23,476 geocaches logged throughout their adventures.
Uncle John started geocaching in 2003 and was a wizard at solving puzzles and hunting geocaches. Who would have guessed when he started geocaching that this newfound hobby would bring them so much enjoyment and take them to all corners of our great country along with trips across Canada to Newfoundland.
As Aunt Jo’s memory started to fade one thing that could be counted on to bring that twinkle back to her eye was to ask her about her geocaching travels; she would immediately light up and tell you they had geocached in every state in the US.
We lost Aunt Jo on Christmas Day 2021, followed by Uncle John in February of this year. They will be sorely missed, but their traveling spirit will continue to inspire us forever.
