Find all the participating VSP Travel Bug Hotels to earn a trackable Green Darner Dragonfly Geocoin. Green Darners are one of North America’s largest dragonflies. They feed on any insect smaller than they are. While their destination remains a mystery, green darners migrate in swarms so large and dense they show up on radar. They are true travel bugs!

The farmers near this site used to bring their livestock to the creek to graze and it became known as Stock Creek. Although Stock Creek is not incredibly well known, it helped to create what William Jennings Bryan called the Eighth Wonder of the World, or what is known today as the Natural Tunnel. Millions of years ago Stock Creek was a surface stream that was diverted underground, carving out a cavern below. With the formation of the cavern, the ground above was no longer supported, causing sinkholes to form on either side of what is now the tunnel. These same processes are what created the caves and carverns found throughout the region.
