Geocache Description:

17 June 2023, 13:00 - 15:00

**5-2-23...Did you see the email about the Maker Magic souvenir that is coming up?

To help you earn this very "valuable" souvenir, I am moving this event to Saturday,  June 17, so it occurs during the designated dates.

I'm sorry if this creates a problem for anyone, but it does give you (& me) an extra week to work on your creative cache.

We often talk about the clever cache containers we just found or the fun gadget cache we solved. So I thot I would host an event with that in mind. Posting this early so you have lots of time to come up with an idea.

This will be a cache container swap meet. I'd like everyone who attends this event to bring a homemade cache container. It can be very simple or something you hope will give everyone grief to open.

Container ideas...

....bug with a log tube in its body

….bird house with an evil twist

….hollowed out book

….PVC project

….travel bug hotel

Bring a container and take a different one home with you. We'll draw for pick of the containers.

Also, we will do a "Show & Tell" on how to build a simple "spigot" cache container made from various pieces of PVC pipe, a quarter and PVC glue.  It will hold a nano for your log.  We will provide a materials list for the project and LC1500 will show you how to put it together.  This "spigot" cache is one of the homemade caches we will be bringing for the exchange.  Feel free to video this instruction class.

And of course, if you'd rather not participate in the cache swap, you are still welcome to come and join us for the event. Maybe you'll get some ideas for your next hide.  Everyone is welcome.

We will do this out on Presque Isle at a pavilion across the road from the bicycle rentals.  We should have lots of tables and parking.

Hope to see everyone there with some great, creative cache containers.
