Hi there, thank you for checking out this cache!
This series has been created with the intention to fill out the west side of the River Trent. There has been a lack of caches around this area for a number of years now, and I thought this long walk would be a good pick to place some.
This series is designed to start from Gainsborough, and eventually make it all the way to the train bridge which goes near Scunthorpe. If you would like to contribute to put more caches further than Gainsborough/Scunthorpe, feel free to get in touch! I'd like to get a nice long line of caches for anyone nearby to find.
The Trent is the third-longest in the United Kingdom. Its source is in Staffordshire, on the southern edge of Biddulph Moor. It flows through and drains the North Midlands. The river is known for dramatic flooding after storms and spring snowmelt, which in the past often caused the river to change course. (Information courtesy of Wikipedia)
I would sincerely suggest to avoid doing this series in the dark. Especially the more challenging caches...
The name comes from where the river has a bend which is almost a 180 degree turn. This cache is a nano magnetic container and the coords should bring you to a pretty clear place. Seek and you shall find.
Happy Caching!
