AD ASTRA PER ASPERA
Where you find yourself standing now, at the listed coordinates, is the portal through which thousands of young boys passed on their journey to becoming men. The school has been closed since 1984 but the many alumni keep the memory and the traditions alive.
Turn around and look across the empty playing field. The tarmac upon which you stand was the place of assembly for a Corps of Cadets more than 600 strong. Before meals, before school, and most certainly on Sunday just before the big parade, we all formed up here and took the roll.
The students are gone now, the grounds are silent. Take a minute to think about all those young men who passed this way. Take a moment to visit the Alumni Museum just down the way. It's a fitting memorial to the school that was. Admission is free and the museum is open on the following days:
