I fell in love with the singer Meat Loaf the first time I heard the song Paradise by the Dashboard Lights in about 9th grade. He is one of my favorite artists and I am astonished that he is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
During his lifetime he produced 12 solo albums and one of my very favorite albums of all time his Welcome to the Neighbourhood which is a wonderful and moving rock opera. Many of his songs touch my soul like:

Some of these songs are so moving that they can make a grown man cry. (well at least I do

But not only is Meat Loaf a wonderful and powerfull rock opera singer he is also a great actor. Some of the movies he played in are The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Roadie, Wayne's World, and Fight Club.
RIP Meat Loaf. You are missed and I hope that someday you will be inducted in to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
