Geocache Description:

The beautiful Banyan tree is a fig that develops accessory trunks from "adventitious prop roots", allowing the tree to spread outwards indefinitely.

The beautiful Banyan tree is one of more than 700 species of Fig trees and originates from India. Older Banyan trees develop accessory trunks from their aerial roots that mature into thick vines, which eventually blend into the primary trunk giving the tree its distinctive look.   These trees can grow to be massive and are great hiding spots for geocaches.

In fact, you could spend hours looking for a micro!    This GC is larger then that, and while you may need to branch out, you should stick close the main trunk.

There is something creepy about these trees, including alien hands that seem to want to reach out and grab you!

Please be gentle with the tree and its roots. There is no need for tools, and Climbing is NOT required.
