IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN!! Woo Hoo!!
COME ATTEND THE 11TH ANNUAL NORTHSTAR GEOSEEKING WEEKEND!
WHEN: Saturday August 19th~9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
WHERE: Gilbert Olson Park~Hallock, Minnesota
The main event this year will be held at the Gilbert Olson Park Shelter.
We will kick off the event at 9:00 a.m. where you can get info about the days activities, grab some goodies, water, snacks etc and say hello to other attendees. (If you come earlier than 9:00 don't be surprised if we put you to work setting up. This is the Turtles first year hosting so help will be very much appreciated or just some moral support or even a cheer team works too. We will all just have to hope for the best). Ha Ha Ha...Smiley face
We will wrap up at 3:00 with cake, poker run winners, door prizes and a group picture. It's possible there will be several other surprises also.
CAMPING
Gilbert Olson and Horseshoe Park are the 2 campgrounds in town. Call the city for reservations and let them know you are with the Geocaching group....they will do their best to put us together if possible. Alot of sites are booked for the season every year so the sooner you get your reservation in the better. Lake Bronson State Park is another option for camping. If not planning to camp there is a motel and 2 Airbnb's in town.

POKER RUN
I plan to bring back the poker run again this year. Five temporary caches will be placed. There will be a prize for each color division plus a Grand prize for the best overall hand. More details given at the event for those who haven't done the Poker run before.
TRAVEL BUG RACE
To participate in the travel bug race, you must drop an ACTIVATED travel bug with ZERO miles on it into the event. The travel bugs will be released from there and start on their race to accumulate miles. The race will end the week before next year's event to give Jeffrae time to tabulate the results. The only rule is that you can't move your own travel bug. A prize for the travel bug with the most miles will be handed out at next year's event.
*Other activities in conjunction with this 3 day weekend will be announced at a later date.
*Free will offerings will be accepted to help fund next year's event.
