Welcome to the First Annual GeoCribbage Tournament!!!
Do you like cribbage?? If so, then this event is for you!! Do you like to socialize and enjoy tasty beverages and food?? If so, then this event is STILL for you!! Join BFredericks88 and Lacknothing at Foxtown Brewing (6411 W Mequon Rd, Mequon, WI 53092) for an afternoon of cards, cocktails, and conversation!!
It is our hope that this will be an annual event! Winner will receive a traveling trackable trophy to be brought back for next year's tournament!
While all are welcome to attend the event, entry to the tournament itself will be limited to the first 16 people so that there will be a full bracket. In your 'will attend' please indicate whether or not you intend to play or just come to socialize (both are totally fine)!! If your caching name represents a team (example: Lacknothing), please indicate which member of your team will be playing (example: Marie aka Mrs. Lacknothing or Roger aka Mr. Lacknothing) as we don't have a doubles bracket (maybe for another year).
Tournament organizers will be building the bracket using a random generator of names submitted. Depending on numbers, we could drop to an 8 person bracket, or increase accordingly. Once we have sixteen confirmed players, everyone else will be added to the waiting list unless the bracket is expanded (watch for event announcements for updates).
Tournament Schedule:
11:00 - arrive at FoxTown, sign in, receive raffle ticket for trackable giveaway, find your game location (if appropriate)
11:10 - group photo
11:15 SHARP - Round 1 begins (winner reports results to the organizers)
11:50 - Round 2 begins (winner reports results to the organizers)
12:00 - trackable raffle
12:25 - Round 3 begins (winner reports results to the organizers)
1:00 - Championship round begins
Tournament logistics:
* No entry fee to attend
* Play will begin at 11:15am SHARP!!
* If you are not present for your first round game, someone from the waiting list will take your place and you are out of the tournament!
* This tournament will include scoring for nobs (one point if you have the jack of the same suit as the turn card) and heels (two points to the dealer if a jack is turned)
* There will not be cutthroat scoring (you do NOT get to score points your opponent misses - let's keep things friendly!)
* This will be a single elimination tournament (if there are open boards as people get eliminated, you are welcome to play for fun)

* Food and beverage is available to purchase at your own expense
