Geocache Description:

Lucerne Dry Lake Bed

Campsite Our Boy Scout Troop planned a campout on Lucerne Dry Lake Bed last night and launch the rockets we made today as part of our work on the Space Exploration Merit Badge.

Well it was too windy today to launch our rockets (gusts up to 80 mph), but that gave us time to continue our tradition of placing a cache on our outings.  We did launch one rocket, but we lost site of it drifting in the 50 mph wind--we were sure that it was lost.

You may notice a Boy Scout theme to the items in the cache.  We invite all, but especially other Boy Scouts--past, present, and future--to retrieve our cache and to swap other Boy Scout items.

. . . by the way, unknown to our cache hiders, four of our guys chased  the rocket in the general direction of the wind, and they it a half mile away!  Great work!
