Geocache Description:

Historic Town Site, established in 1902, now state-owned.

Anglin was situated on the Bonaparte Creek east of Tonasket, and west of where Aeneas Valley takes off from Bonaparte Creek. The town had its beginning in 1902 when John Buckland, son-in-law of Tom Anglin, homesteaded where Anglin built his store. John was married to Anglin's daughter and they all came to the area together from Kettle Falls, WA. By 1904 this freighter stop had become a town consisting of a store, post office, saloon, restaurant, blacksmith shop, several residences and a school. Many homesteaders were moving into the area. Only the cemetery remains, and a couple of lonesome trees. The cemetery is not on state land, and not part of the cache site.
