PL: Skrytka znajduje się przy jednym z kamieniołomów szydłowieckich. Niedaleko zalanego wodą kamieniołomu, znajduje się stara chata wykonana właśnie z miejscowego kamienia - z tego samego piaskowca wykonane zostały m.in. elementy elewacji Pałacu Kultury i Nauki w Warszawie. Piaskowiec szydłowiecki znalazł swoj zastosowanie w całym kraju oraz poza jego terenami. Dziś w gminie wciąż jest on pozyskiwany, a kamieniołomy na terenie miasta zalane są wodą i stanowią atrakcję turystyczną dla odwiedzających Szydłowiec.

Near the flooded quarry, there is an old cottage made of local stone - the same sandstone was used, among others, for elements of the facade of the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw. Szydłowiec sandstone has found its application throughout the country and beyond. Today, it is still extracted in the commune, and the quarries in the town are flooded with water and are a tourist attraction for visitors to Szydłowiec.
