Boa Vista (Portuguese for "good view") is the easternmost island of Cape Verde. It is located in the Barlavento archipelago. The island also forms a municipality with the same name. The island has an area of 620 km⊃2;, 3,353 inhabitants and the largest town is Sal Rei with 2,122 inhabitants (2005).
