PL: Skrytka umieszczona jest w pobliżu "Lodowni". Była to nalężąca do dawnego szydłowieckiego browaru Stumpfów i Engemanów piwnica przeznaczona do składowania słodu i piwa. Została wykuta w skale, a jej ściany wyłożono piaskowcem. Większa część obiektu znajduje się pod ziemią. Częścią lodowni jest zasypany w okresie międzywojennym tunel, o wysokości ok. 1,5 m. Miejska legenda głosi, że to fragment istniejącego kiedyś podziemnego połączenia browaru ze znajdującym się nieopodal zamkiem.
Lodownia była częścią browaru, będącego w I połowie XIX wieku własnością bogatej rodziny Stumpfów – piwowarów, posiadających swoje browary w Radomiu, Szydłowcu, a później również w Kielcach. Produkowali w nich doskonałe piwo lokalne, a także porter i tzw. piwo bawarskie.
Jeśli chcesz zajrzeć za płot i wejść do wnętrza ruin, możesz zapytać właścicieli domu weselnego o tej samej nazwie o pozwolenie na zwiedzanie tego miejsca.

EN: The cache is located near the "Icehouse". It was a cellar belonging to the former Stumpf and Engemans brewery in Szydłowiec, intended for storing malt and beer. It was carved out of the rock and its walls were lined with sandstone. Most of the facility is underground. A part of the icehouse is a tunnel filled in in the interwar period, about 1.5 m high. An urban legend has it that it is a fragment of the once existing underground connection between the brewery and the nearby castle.
The icehouse was part of the brewery, which in the first half of the 19th century was owned by the wealthy Stumpf family - brewers with their breweries in Radom, Szydłowiec, and later also in Kielce. They produced excellent local beer, as well as porter and so-called bavarian beer.
If you want to look behind the fence and enter the ruins, you can ask the owners of the wedding house of the same name for permission to visit this place.
