GREENFINCH
Greenfinches are a little larger than sparrows, chunky birds that are mostly olive-green, but with a yellow patch on the wings and tail. Females are grey-green with less yellow. They also have a large triangular beak used for eating mainly seeds.
A common, large finch of gardens, parks, woodland and farmland, the greenfinch feeds on seeds, and will visit bird tables and feeders in gardens. In winter, they form flocks with other finches, and can be seen roaming the countryside and parklands for food. Greenfinches nest in small colonies in tree and bushes.
This is a typical Field Puzzle in the Geocaching community, however there are not many in Moray. There are a variety of Bird Boxes used. This one has a hinged floor held closed by a clasp. However to release the floor you will need to REMOVE the perch.
