Geocache Description:


濱宮(はまのみや)は、伊勢神宮が現在地に遷る前に鎮座していた元伊勢の1つと伝えられている由緒正しい古い神社です。
神武天皇の東征に際して、「神鏡」「日矛」という2種の神宝を、この地の岩の上に安置したのがこの神社の始まりで、そのため天照大神が主祭神となっています。

Hamanomiya is a venerable old shrine that is said to be one of the original Ise shrines, which was settled before the Ise Jingu shrine was relocated to its present location.
The shrine was founded when Emperor Jinmu, on his expedition to the east, enshrined two sacred treasures, the "sacred mirror" and "sacred sword," on a rock at this site, thus making Amaterasu the main deity of the shrine.
