Keskajast pärinevat Audru mõisat on esmamainitud 1449. aastal. Tollal oli ta Saare-Lääne piiskopkonnale kuulunud piiskopimõis. Liivi sõja järgselt ehk Poola ajal oli mõis riigi omanduses. Rootsi ajal kinkis kuningas Gustav II Adolf mõisa 1627. aastal von Thurnidele, kuid sama sajandi lõpul läks ta de la Gardie'de aadliperekonna kätte.
Alates 1920 ndatest aastatest kuni 1939. aastani tegutses hoones kool, seejärel jäi ta tühjaks, lagunes ja lammutati 1950ndate aastate alguses. 1956-58. aastatel ehitati majandi kontorihoone, mis kasutas osalt mõisahoone vundamendimüüre.

The medieval Audru manor was first mentioned in 1449. At that time, it was a bishop's mansion belonging to the diocese of Saare-Lääne. After the Livonian War, i.e. during Poland, the manor was owned by the state. During Sweden, King Gustav II Adolf gave the estate to the von Thurns in 1627, but at the end of the same century it passed into the hands of the de la Gardie noble family.
From the 1920s until 1939, the building housed a school, then it remained empty, fell into disrepair, and was demolished in the early 1950s. In 1956- 58 the manor office building was built, which partly used the foundation walls of the manor building.
