We first found this old quarry when placing a nearby cache years ago. It is marked on a hand-drawn 1910 map of the area, but no indication of what it was for is shown, perhaps rocks for general construction in the surrounds?Today it is abandoned, part of Blackbutt Reserve.
Take care at GZ - especially in the wet - consider a hand line anchored at the top, and have a buddy.
Coordinates have proved very difficult in here, what we have is an average of multiple devices on multiple visits, and it still jumps about quite a lot. Check the hint, start low....
