This is my first geocache hide, I have received permission from the steward of the land, and this hide is to honor and celebrate a teacher and colleague at the nearby elementary school, Leschi Elementary. Leschi Elementary was my home for nearly 16 years, and will always be a place I venture back to. Nestled behind Leschi Elementary School is Peppi's Park, named after Peppi Braxton, who was a first grader at the school at one time.
You will need to do some online research about the history of Leschi Elementary School and Peppi Braxton to successfully complete this geocache. A brief Google should do.
Construction of Leschi School originally began in 190a.
In 1954, Leschi served b09 students.
In 1918, enrollment at Leschi rose to c71.
