Ingham is famous for being home to the 'Pub with No Beer' - originally called the Telegraph Hotel, then the Day Dawn Hotel (demolished in 1958), and currently Lee's Hotel (built on the same spot). Some would debate the authenticity and legitimacy of claims made by Lee's since it did not exist in 1943 when Dan Sheahan penned his poem; and, others even contest whether or not credit for Slim Dusty's song doesn't belong to the Taylor's Arms Hotel in NSW. But whatever the outcome of such talk may or may not be, unquestionably Ingham has another hotel that remains virtually unchanged since it was built, refuses to get mired in hifalutin' debate, and quietly goes about its business which just happens to be old-fashioned hospitality. The name of this humble establishment is The Station Hotel, and very likely will retain this name as long as the building stands.
