Geocache Description:

Hi there, thank you for checking out this cache!

This series has been created with the intention to fill out the west side of the River Trent. There has been a lack of caches around this area for a number of years now, and I thought this long walk would be a good pick to place some.

This series is designed to start from Gainsborough, and eventually make it all the way to the train bridge which goes near Scunthorpe. If you would like to contribute to put more caches further than Gainsborough/Scunthorpe, feel free to get in touch! I'd like to get a nice long line of caches for anyone nearby to find.

The Trent is the third-longest in the United Kingdom. Its source is in Staffordshire, on the southern edge of Biddulph Moor. It flows through and drains the North Midlands. The river is known for dramatic flooding after storms and spring snowmelt, which in the past often caused the river to change course. (Information courtesy of Wikipedia)

I would sincerely suggest to avoid doing this series in the dark. Especially the more challenging caches...

This is very similar to 180°, but with a black bison this time. This one should be very clear as soon as you reach it. This is also a much easier one to have a break from the difficult challenge of Elevated Undergound. Even if you chose to skip that one, congrats on making it this far.

Unfortunately, this will likely be the last cache at the end of this river that we place under the 'Trent River' series due to it going too far for us to manage any more. However, if you want to continue this series further down the path for others to enjoy, please direct message me as I'd love for this to extend past this point.

This will not be the last in the Trent River series though, as this series plans to make it further along the other way up to the Gunness/Scunthorpe bridge.

Happy Caching!
