In February of 2022 I was recovering from shoulder surgery and solving puzzles in Texas and Florida with a similar theme to this new geoart, but around the world. That idea of puzzles was twisted to fit Michigan. Our beautiful state has so many interesting places as seen from satellite view. Working on this series has taken about a year from idea, to gathering information, designing the art, hiding the containers and creating the cache pages. It's the biggest geocaching project I've taken on so far. I am finally excited to present it to you and hope you learn something interesting about locations you will find in Michigan via satallite view.
The geoart "Around Michigan in 80 Caches" will publish three days before this event to give you time to solve the puzzles. I will not offer any help until this event on those puzzles. Show up with your questions and I will offer assistance to get you close to the answer. Just remember you will walk away with answers. If you cannot attend this event and need help. I will offer that to you after this event ends.
Once you have your questions answered, you can join up with others, spot vehicles, and start finding caches along the trail with others. Not all caches are on the trail. This location is not on the trail as I wanted a place that offers a roof and picnic tables. I hope to join you on the trail when this event is over.
Update: 4-2-23 The Caches are along a paved rail trail that can be either biked or walked. Your choice. Some caches are hidden in locations accessible by car. I did not have enough room to hide on the rail trail.
