Another spring means City of Albuquerque Open Space Foothills Spring Clean-ups!
Other probable Foothills Clean-up days this year are:
March 25 – Tijeras Bio Zone Clean up
April 1 – Copper Clean up
April 8 – Indian School Clean up
April 15 – Menaul Clean up
April 22 – Piedra Lisa Clean up
April 29 – Embudito/Bear Canyon Clean up
Each clean-up day runs from 8:30 to 12:30. Any time you can spend helps, so don't worry if you can't come the entire time they've allotted. We usually wrap up before noon but the winner of the weirdest trash contest and drawings for many prizes happen at the end.
Be sure to sign the liability waiver when you arrive. If you want to host one on another Saturday, feel free as we have an open invitation to help.
Garbage bags, grabbers, a few buckets, snacks, and some water will be provided. I will bring non-latex plastic gloves if needed. Bring extra water and gloves if you want them. Sun protection and closed-toe footwear are a must as there are few shade trees and cacti and other thorny plants abound.
All logging attendees will earn the Cache In Trash Out® CITO 2023 Season 1 souvenir!
